Playoff's - Round #3 - Game #3
The Kitchener Lady Rangers welcomed the Bluewater Hawks for Game #3 of Round #3 in a must win game for the Lady’s.
A slow start to the first, continued penalty trouble and missed assignments had the Hawks up by 2 just over seven minutes into the first. Despite better play and several good scoring opportunities in the second and third, those seven minutes were all that the Hawks needed to pick up their sixth point of Round #3. As discussed in the room (and I am not suggesting you should have beat Bluewater but) for many of the games you lost this season, it’s not so much that the other teams “beat” you (with a few exceptions) as much as it was you beating yourselves. Missed coverage, missed passes and missed nets continued to haunt us for many games this season, including your last two playoff games, and was a hurdle that the coaching staff just couldn’t seem to find the right “keys to success” to get you over. We will take some time pre-tryout to discuss (and seek input) into what we can do better to ensure these “hurdles” do not follow us into next season. We want to ensure that we get the most out of the talent that everyone who plays for us possesses.
Three games remain in the playoff’s ladies. There are no freebees. Come to play the way you can and continue to represent the Central West Division proudly.
