Playoff's - Round #3 - Game #5
The Kitchener Lady Rangers travelled to the Seymour Hannah Sportsplex in St. Catharines to face the Brock Jr. Badgers for Game #5 of Round #3, with the winner having a huge edge in the four Division South, South Central, West and Central West Divisional Finals.
Coming off of a tie in Game #1 against the Badgers, the Lady’s got off to a slow start in the first and never seemed to find their traction. Unable to capitalize on their one and only PP opportunity in the first, penalty trouble of their own would continue to plague the Lady’s with the Badgers capitalizing on two of their five PP opportunities. We appreciated everyone’s efforts but for whatever the reason, today was just not your day. Fifty – seven games (with five to six remaining) is a long season. Injuries (one out for the season and many more banged up), other commitments and having been on the ice with us over one hundred and ten times this season is exhausting both physically and mentally. The importance of the “foundation” that was started way back in Fall cannot be understated. No matter what you do or where you go in life, make sure your foundation is solid. It will help to carry you through the long, exhausting and tough days in life to come. Our congratulations to St. Catharines. You have had an outstanding season, and we wish you continued playoff and provincial success.
