U22A Open Tryout
Our 2024-2025 U22A Fall tryouts will be held in early September. 

Please check our team website for dates and times posting when they become available. Contact Head Coach Jamie with your intent to tryout, registration is required thru the KMHA website, a PTT (permission to tryout) is required from your previous association if not already playing for KMHA. 

Our U22A team plays in the OWHA Southern, West division which included St Catharines, Flamborough, Guelph, Cambridge, Brampton and Wingham. 

The U22A team has once again had a Provincial banner raising season ! As some of our returning players have learned, there is a major commitment with continuing education, working, and travel for away games for the team. We thank our graduating players for their commitment and leadership both on and off the ice….wishing them all the best for the future. 

Cost and Budget

·         KMHA player registration $575

·         Rep and team fee for each player approx. $600 budget (practice ice, playdown/playoff games, 3 tournaments…Fallfest, St Catharines and Flmborough)

·         Budget will have to be approved at a team meeting

OWHA scheduling

  • Week of Sept 25th with 11 home games and 11 away games starting Oct 1st -Feb 19th
  • Kitchener home games Sunday evenings 6:30pm Grand River arena
  • Kitchener practice Tuesdays 8:30PM Don McLaren arena every 2nd week 1.5 hours

Toyota also sponsors the Toyota Challenge featuring teams from the region in competition and the opportunity to travel to Japan. The Toyota Hockey Challenge consists of round robin competition amongst top Kitchener, Waterloo & Cambridge teams, with the top two teams then competing in a one-game show down that will determine the team to represent the Tri-Cities in a once-in-a-lifetime cultural exchange to Japan.
