U11 AAA TRYOUTS Update #2
April 12 Update

We are just one week away from our first tryout session taking place on Saturday, April 19.
Anyone who has registered to date, you should have received a  unique Tryout ID # emailed to you yesterday. The tryout ID will be used to notify players that will be moving on with our team selection process throughout the week.
If you did not receive your number, please check your "spam" folder or email Coach and we will send the number out again.
[email protected]

Once our final list of Tryout ID #'s is complete, we will post the ID numbers of the players that will be skating in each session for Saturday. This will be displayed in a team news article to be updated on Friday, April 18 in the morning/afternoon. We apologize in advance for the quick turnaround, however we have to allow enough time for registrations to filter through completely. Anyone still considering registration with KMHA for tryouts, we encourage you to do so asap to help with our planning of balanced participants for scheduled ice. In the event that a family registers between now and tryouts, we will continue to follow new registrations and send out an ID # to your registered email address directly.

Lastly, all communications will be shared through our team website going forward. With the new OHF rules and players coming and going due to "open borders", there will be no opportunity for in person releases any longer. If your tryout ID # is not displayed as moving forward, we wish each athlete a great season with their new team! Final decisions will be difficult since we recognize this age group specifically is full of talent. If you would appreciate feedback, please feel free to reach out following the completion of team selection and our Coaches will do their best to share our staff assessment for opportunities of player growth. Our goal is always to help players at all levels develop and we will do our best to remain transparent and assist players with areas of focus for continued success.

Thank you,
U11 AAA Coaching Staff

Sponsors
Timbits
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games and do so with our own KITCHENER JR. A RANGERS. Tim Horton's once again sponsor's our 40 entry level HL teams this year.
Scotiabank
Scotiabank returns as a PLATINUM LEVEL SPONSOR for yet another season. They have five Kitchener branches to serve you. Last season, local Scotiabank managers were instrumental in arranging to feature our Peewee Bisons on Hockey Night in Canada! Thanks Scotiabank!
Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.
SCHERER Chevrolet Buick GMC
SCHERER CHEVROLET BUICK GMC has grown to be one of the most successful automotive dealerships in the country and as such is a PROUD 3RD YEAR sponsor of KMHA. Please stop by their dealership, located at 1225 COURTLAND AVE. E, KITCHENER, and speak with one of their representatives today or call at 519-893-8888.
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada
Our friends at Toyota continue to support Kitchener Minor Hockey by returning as a House League Gold Sponsor yet again for this season. Toyota also sponsors the Toyota Challenge featuring teams from the region in competition and the opportunity to travel to Japan. The Toyota Hockey Challenge consists of round robin competition amongst top Kitchener, Waterloo & Cambridge teams, with the top two teams then competing in a one-game show down that will determine the team to represent the Tri-Cities in a once-in-a-lifetime cultural exchange to Japan. The team that wins the Toyota Hockey Challenge will travel to Hokkaido, Japan during March Break for a cultural exchange with the Tomakomai Allstars, all expenses paid by TMMC. Thanks Toyota!
