Program attributes
We are excited about the upcoming season and would like to share with you some of the attributes of our program this year.

Three Practices Weekly – Players train three times per week, totaling 4 hours of on-ice development.

Power Skating – Focused sessions to improve edge work, stride efficiency, balance, and overall skating technique.  Training will be provided by Twist High Performance Hockey with Scott Atkins.

Individual Skill Development – Dedicated time each week for stickhandling, shooting, passing, and puck protection. We've invested in specialized skill development equipment that will be used on the ice to enhance player growth and engagement.

Elite Off-Ice Training – Through our partnership with the University of Waterloo Varsity Strength & Conditioning Program, players receive high-level dryland training focused on strength, speed, and injury prevention.

Video & Game Analysis – Using Hudl and InStat, players and coaches break down practices and games to improve hockey IQ, positioning, and decision-making.

Thank you, Drayton and U14 staff

Timbits
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games and do so with our own KITCHENER JR. A RANGERS. Tim Horton's once again sponsor's our 40 entry level HL teams this year.
Scotiabank
Scotiabank returns as a PLATINUM LEVEL SPONSOR for yet another season. They have five Kitchener branches to serve you. Last season, local Scotiabank managers were instrumental in arranging to feature our Peewee Bisons on Hockey Night in Canada! Thanks Scotiabank!
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada
Our friends at Toyota continue to support Kitchener Minor Hockey by returning as a House League Gold Sponsor yet again for this season. Toyota also sponsors the Toyota Challenge featuring teams from the region in competition and the opportunity to travel to Japan. The Toyota Hockey Challenge consists of round robin competition amongst top Kitchener, Waterloo & Cambridge teams, with the top two teams then competing in a one-game show down that will determine the team to represent the Tri-Cities in a once-in-a-lifetime cultural exchange to Japan. The team that wins the Toyota Hockey Challenge will travel to Hokkaido, Japan during March Break for a cultural exchange with the Tomakomai Allstars, all expenses paid by TMMC. Thanks Toyota!
