Tryouts 2025-2026
The Kitchener U18AAA Junior Rangers are  looking forward to the upcoming season starting with tryouts Monday April 21st.

The schedule for tryouts is posted here on our webpage. We will play an intersquad game on Monday followed by exhibition games at home Tuesday and Wednesday and on the road Thursday.

THE PROGRAM

My philosophy is built on a team-first mentality, where success is driven by the collective commitment of good people and great teammates. Talent alone doesn’t win championships - character, accountability, and work ethic is required as well. We believe in a structured, system-based approach to the game, where every player understands their role and responsibilities within a disciplined framework.

Player development is a top priority. We are committed to helping each athlete refine their skills, grow their hockey IQ, and prepare for the next level while ultimately building a culture where hard work, respect, accountability and a relentless commitment to each other contribute to individual growth and team success.

Things to remember for tryouts:

·       Please arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to ice sessions

·       Register in the lobby to receive a pinny and tryout number – this number will be yours throughout camp. Pinnies are to be hung up in the room after each skate. Players moving forward in camp will see their numbers posted online KMHA U18AAA WEBSITE.

·       Exhibition game line ups will be posted online as well

·       Players are reminded to bring proper off-ice attire (running shoes/shorts)

·       Players will warm up as a group

·       Players are to double check equipment making sure they are prepared and ready to play

·       Players are expected to report all injuries prior and post ice sessions to athletic staff

Looking forward to a competitive training camp!

Timbits
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games and do so with our own KITCHENER JR. A RANGERS. Tim Horton's once again sponsor's our 40 entry level HL teams this year.
Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.
Scotiabank
Scotiabank returns as a PLATINUM LEVEL SPONSOR for yet another season. They have five Kitchener branches to serve you. Last season, local Scotiabank managers were instrumental in arranging to feature our Peewee Bisons on Hockey Night in Canada! Thanks Scotiabank!
