Richmond Hill Early Bird AA - CHAMPIONS!
U18AA Jr. Rangers Start Season with Championship Run in Richmond Hill 🏆

The U18AA Kitchener Jr. Rangers kicked off their season in style this past weekend, going a perfect 6–0 on their way to capturing the Mary Parkinson Early Bird Tournament Championship in Richmond Hill.

Friday:
The boys opened the tournament with a 4–2 win over a strong Milton Menace squad. In their second game, they faced North Toronto in what became a particularly meaningful contest. The team came together to honor the memory of Paige Callahan, the 17-year-old daughter of a former player coached by Sinclair, who tragically passed away far too soon. Even though the players never knew Paige personally, they understood how much it meant to their coach. With many of them the same age Paige was, the moment carried powerful weight—a reminder of just how fragile life can be. Playing with heart and purpose, the Rangers skated to a 9–3 victory in her honor. ❤️

Saturday:
Saturday started with a team lunch that helped bring the group even closer together. In the afternoon, the Rangers defeated the host Richmond Hill Jaguars 5–1, clinching first place in their pool. Later that evening, they rolled past the Oakville Rangers Red with a dominant 7–2 win, finishing the round robin undefeated and booking their spot in Sunday’s semifinal.

Sunday:

The semifinal against the Whitby Wildcats was a nail-biter between two excellent teams. The Rangers dug deep, showing discipline and resilience, and held on for a hard-fought 2–1 win to advance to the final.

In the championship, it was once again the Milton Menace standing in their way. Milton struck early, but the Rangers didn’t flinch. True to form, the team answered back with two goals in the second period and added another in the third to seal a 3–1 victory.

With that, the Jr. Rangers closed out the tournament a perfect 6–0, outscoring opponents 30–10, and were crowned Champions.

From the crease out, every player contributed. The team showed toughness, heart, and unity all weekend long—proving they’re ready to make some noise this season. 🚀🏒
