Day 1 Evaluation Groupings
Good evening,

We are very excited to begin evaluations tomorrow!

For Day #1 (Saturday May 3) we will arranging the players by alphabetical order to decide which ice time they will skate.

All players (except goalies) with the last name starting with A – I will skate in group # 1 (6:15pm – 7:05pm) and all players (except goalies) with the last name stating with J – Z will skate in group #2 (7:15pm – 8:05pm) @ Sportsworld Arena.

We will email the goalies directly to inform them of their skate time for Saturday.

As evaluations are unique this season, I wanted to mention a few details:

·      Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your ice time to receive player jersey and to find your dressing room.

·      Parents will receive an email (using the email address we were provided when the player was registered) prior to Saturday’s Group 1 skate with a unique ID number.  This number is randomly assigned and will be used to notify on the U12 BB Red website which players will be moving forward in tryouts.

·      After the player skates please ensure that they HAND IN THE JERSEY to the volunteers.

·      **NEW** The KMHA U12 BB Program is now Tiered.  Coach Scott Atkins will be selecting the Red Team (Tier 1), and then Coach Alan Dyck will be selecting the Blue Team (Tier 2).

·      The new tryout process does not guarantee the player 3 ice times.  The player is guaranteed one (1) on ice session (50 mins).

·      Offers will be sent out via email, using the email address we were provided when the player was registered.  Please check your email regularly (as well as junk mail).  The offer will be time sensitive so please check your email often.

We look forward to an AWESOME Day #1 of the KJR U12 BB Red Evaluations!!!!

Coach Scott

Sponsors
Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.

Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games and do so with our own KITCHENER JR. A RANGERS. Tim Horton's once again sponsor's our 40 entry level HL teams this year.

Our friends at Toyota continue to support Kitchener Minor Hockey by returning as a House League Gold Sponsor yet again for this season. Toyota also sponsors the Toyota Challenge featuring teams from the region in competition and the opportunity to travel to Japan. The Toyota Hockey Challenge consists of round robin competition amongst top Kitchener, Waterloo & Cambridge teams, with the top two teams then competing in a one-game show down that will determine the team to represent the Tri-Cities in a once-in-a-lifetime cultural exchange to Japan. The team that wins the Toyota Hockey Challenge will travel to Hokkaido, Japan during March Break for a cultural exchange with the Tomakomai Allstars, all expenses paid by TMMC. Thanks Toyota!
