2025/2026 U12 BB Blue Evaluations!!
Welcome to the 2025–26 Kitchener Jr Rangers U12 BB evaluations. My name is Alan Dyck, and I will be leading the U12 BB Blue Team this season.

With the new tiered structure introduced by the KMHA, two BB teams will be formed:

Tier 1 - BB Red Team (HC Scott Atkins)
Tier 2 - BB Blue Team (HC Alan Dyck)

The Red Team roster will be finalized first. Please visit the U12 BB Red Team page for initial player selection and release updates. Players not selected for tier 1 will continue the evaluation process with the Blue Team. If a player declines an offer made by the Red Team coach, the KMHA player selection policy indicates that "the player will then receive two options:

Option 1: Try out in another centre.
Option 2: Play for House League."

Our focus is to build a competitive, skilled, and team-first group of players who demonstrate:
○ Strong skating and puck skills.
○ High hockey IQ and awareness.
○ Consistent effort.
○ Character, teamwork, and coachability.

Each session is an opportunity to show your ability, compete level, and positive competitive attitude. We are looking for players who are ready to contribute, improve, and represent KJR with pride and consistent effort.

TRYOUT PROCESS OVERVIEW
○ Players will receive a confidential ID number for evaluations (keep it private).
○ Tryout jerseys will be provided at the rink and must be returned after each skate.
○ Each player is guaranteed one (1) 50-minute evaluation session.
○ After each session, the ID numbers of players moving forward will be posted online.
○ Please check the U12 BB Tier 1 Red Team page until Coach Scott's team is selected.
○ All team offers will be sent by email — please monitor your inbox (and junk folder).

Timbits
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games and do so with our own KITCHENER JR. A RANGERS. Tim Horton's once again sponsor's our 40 entry level HL teams this year.
