Good evening Ranger Families!

We use this as a means to connect with parents and share information about upcoming schedule additions, events, and other news worthy topics.
Lots of updates to catch up on.  Lots going on off the ice.  Read on to learn more our social media account, our fundraising efforts, picture day, budget vote and tons more!

FUNDRAISING

Sign up for our Flip Give account to help raise funds for the team.  The link to our account is here.   It doesn’t cost you anything.  Spend as you normally would and the team gets rewarded.  Also, check the team Telegram for the Rheo Thompson chocolate orders as well as the Poinsettia order form.   Orders are due back to Sandy by Oct 30.  Thank you Sandy, Amy, Kim for spearheading our fundraising efforts.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Follow us on social media.  The link to the team Instagram account is here.  Great work Christina.  Thank you for posting some great content so far.

PICTURE DAY

We’ll wait for Harry to get back before snapping the team photo.  We’ve chosen Oct 27 for photos.  Please come prepared in your home (blue) jerseys for group and individual shots.  Players should be ready 45 minutes before practice.

MEDICAL FORMS

A reminder for families who have not turned in their medical forms to Casey to do so ASAP.  All information is held in strict confidence and is for the use of coaches and trainer only.

FOOD DRIVE

We hope to put together a food drive during Thanksgiving weekend at our home opener.  A request has been submitted to the Foodbank of Waterloo Region.  More details to come from Heather O’Leary as they become available.

BUDGET MEETING

We’ve scheduled our budget vote for October 3 just after our practice.  Please arrange to have one voting parent present just after practice.  An electronic copy will be circulated by email a minimum 48 hours per the KMHA bylaws, for your review.   If you have any last minute questions or suggestions, please direct them to Coach David and Krista/Kristin, our treasurers.

I’m sure there’s more but hopefully this helps busy families stay organized 😉

Sponsors
Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada
Our friends at Toyota continue to support Kitchener Minor Hockey by returning as a House League Gold Sponsor yet again for this season. Toyota also sponsors the Toyota Challenge featuring teams from the region in competition and the opportunity to travel to Japan. The Toyota Hockey Challenge consists of round robin competition amongst top Kitchener, Waterloo & Cambridge teams, with the top two teams then competing in a one-game show down that will determine the team to represent the Tri-Cities in a once-in-a-lifetime cultural exchange to Japan. The team that wins the Toyota Hockey Challenge will travel to Hokkaido, Japan during March Break for a cultural exchange with the Tomakomai Allstars, all expenses paid by TMMC. Thanks Toyota!
