U15 BB/B – RED Update Ep 7
We use this as a means to connect with parents and share information about upcoming schedule additions, events, and other news worthy topics.  Read on to learn about dressing room policies, support for Harrison and our our upcoming tournament.

Hello Jr Ranger Families!

DRESSING ROOM POLICIES

Given the events unfolding in other centres, it is a good reminder to review Hockey Canada’s guidance when it comes to dressing room etiquette.  This is something we strictly uphold as coaches.  Please review the document attached in the email with your player as a reminder.  We covered this at our parent meeting at the beginning of the season, but good practice to remind our players.  If you have any questions, please reach out to me directly.

SUPPORT FOR HARRISON

Our hockey community is rallying together to support Harrison Yoshy, a young player who is battling an opponent that no child should ever face. Through it all, Harrison continues to show incredible strength, bravery, courage and heart—qualities that inspire everyone around him.

This journey has come with unexpected challenges for his family. With frequent medical appointments and treatments, one or both parents often need to step away from work to be at Harrison’s side, where they belong. Many of you have helped already.  As an additional demonstration of support, we will be arranging a photo in conjunction with the Waterloo Wolves before tomorrow’s game.  Please plan to arrive 75 minutes before game time to allow time for the photo.  A good time to get that warm up gear washed too.

DOUG JARRETT MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Our final tournament of the year is next weekend.  One last chance to perform under pressure in a tournament format before the championships in April.  I’ve put the Alliance Championships in our calendars just a placeholder to help families plan.   The West London tournament games have all been added to our schedule, but you can also follow along here.

Sponsors
Scotiabank
Scotiabank returns as a PLATINUM LEVEL SPONSOR for yet another season. They have five Kitchener branches to serve you. Last season, local Scotiabank managers were instrumental in arranging to feature our Peewee Bisons on Hockey Night in Canada! Thanks Scotiabank!
SCHERER Chevrolet Buick GMC
SCHERER CHEVROLET BUICK GMC has grown to be one of the most successful automotive dealerships in the country and as such is a PROUD 3RD YEAR sponsor of KMHA. Please stop by their dealership, located at 1225 COURTLAND AVE. E, KITCHENER, and speak with one of their representatives today or call at 519-893-8888.
Timbits
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games and do so with our own KITCHENER JR. A RANGERS. Tim Horton's once again sponsor's our 40 entry level HL teams this year.
Desjardins Insurance
Proud Sponsors of youth Hockey, Desjardins Insurance is the insurance unit of Desjardins Group, the largest association of credit unions in Canada. Desjardins Insurance has two principal subsidiaries: Desjardins Financial Security and Desjardins General Insurance.
Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.
