The Kitchener Lady Rangers U18 “A’s” welcomed the Cambridge Roadrunners in their 2025 / 2026 home opener.
A good first period had the Lady’s out-shooting and out chancing Cambridge with some nice puck movement. The importance of hitting the net after creating several good opportunities should not be lost on you. Good play in the first led to some great play in the second. Just three minutes in, the Lady’s were rewarded with their first of the period on a nice low point shot. With just over two minutes remaining, the Lady’s would again be rewarded on a nice F1 to F3 pass and take a 2 – 0 lead into the break. Although having a sloppy start to the third, the Lady’s held on for their second win of the weekend.
This game felt a little more controlled than game #1. The coaching staff was pleased on many fronts with the execution of things we have worked on in practice (why do we practice again?). Just remember that when you have someone down, you don’t want to give them any opportunity to get back up. Congratulations on the win. Well earned.
