Roadrunner Sunday
In their third of four meetings this season, the Lady Rangers travelled to the Hespeler Memorial Arena to face the Cambridge Roadrunners.
Playing their third game in five nights, the Lady’s play was a little sloppy and lacked any real flow for the first two periods, save and except for a good 5 v. 3 PK in the first. Midway through the third a great second effort put the Lady’s up by one. Just thirty-three seconds later (that next shift is so important) a great backhand roof (yes, the back of the blade works just as good as the front) would seal the win, giving the Lady’s their sixth point of the week.
We understand that sickness and injury take a toll when we continue to play short. We need you to work harder in practice and pay attention to the small details (eyes on chest, not running in the DZ, picking up in the house, having an OZ F3) that will make us successful in February. The six points were well earned, and we appreciated everyone’s efforts. With some “game” time off this coming week, we hope for some improved health and injury for all.
