Playing the Aces
The Lady Rangers welcomed the Stratford Aces in their first meeting of the 2025 – 2026 season.

The Aces came out strong and fast in the first out shooting and out playing the Lady’s. Making the most of their limited opportunity, the Lady’s were first on the board (only their second shot of the period) with just under two minutes remaining.  A great stretch pass put the Lady’s up by two just over a minute into the second. Killing off their third straight penalty, a lapse in D-Zone coverage (they can’t get behind us) brought the Aces within one heading into the break. Just as the Lady’s did to start the second, the Aces capitalized on a D miscue just one minute into the third to tie things up.  Having already scored the first two, Ms. Beatson completed the “hattie” on what would prove to be the game winning goal.

Although not fond of your play in the first, a better second and a nice bounce back after the tying goal in the third gave you two more points in a very tight division. Trust in the systems and continue to be defensively responsible. There are no easy games remaining in the season and every point is going to count. Congratulations to Ms. Beatson on her “four goal” afternoon. A rare hockey event no matter what the level!

Sponsors
Timbits
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games and do so with our own KITCHENER JR. A RANGERS. Tim Horton's once again sponsor's our 40 entry level HL teams this year.
Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.
