Brantford 2026
The Lady’s travelled to the Gretzky Center in Brantford for their first game of 2026.

Starting off with several good back-to-back shifts, the Lady’s settled into some lack luster hockey play. Playing with “six” on the ice at one point in the first was a sign of the lack of attention of detail in their play.  A good PK followed by a nice point shot tip deflection put the Lady’s up by one after one. The second continued much the way the first did with little flow and less talk. The first PP goal of the game put the Lady’s up by two before they gave up one with just thirty-six seconds left in the 2nd on several fails to clear the zone attempts. A better third with a 2nd PP goal would seal the first “W” of 2026.

Although happy for your win, this level of play will not have you successful come February. With weak passing, no flow and no real set up, it looked more like a Christmas pond hockey game than anything else. As a reminder. Sit in your lines. Talk hockey. Talk about what you want to do and how you want to do it. Come to practice to “practice” and “work hard”. The comments from Laura McIntosh were disappointing to say the least.

Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.
Timbits
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games and do so with our own KITCHENER JR. A RANGERS. Tim Horton's once again sponsor's our 40 entry level HL teams this year.
