Saturday in the Loo
Finishing their “fourth of four” meetings for the season, the Lady’s travelled to the Albert McCormick Arena to face the Waterloo Ravens.

A slow start to the first saw the Lady’s out shot and out chanced by the Ravens. Settling into the second, a breakdown in PK coverage put the Ravens up by one with just over six and a half minutes left in the period.  Just twenty-two seconds later (that next shift is so important) the Lady’s responded with one of their own to tie things up, heading into the break. Just over three minutes into the third, the video will show multiple failed breakouts / clearing attempts that lead to the games final goal, giving the Ravens their second “W” over the Lady’s in a week.

This was a far better game than last week (but as we said, it couldn’t have been much worse) with better DZ coverage and some determined effort after both goals against. Good teams will make you pay and Waterloo is a good team. You need to challenge yourselves to make your choices “quicker”. Help can come by watching from the bench, understanding what they are running and being prepared for your next shift. Keep working hard on the little things that will make you successful when the games begin to count.

Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.
