Snowed in Stratford
The Lady Rangers travelled to Stratford on a snowy Sunday to play the Aces.

The Aces again came out strong and fast in the first out shooting and out playing the Lady’s. A great PK blocked shot breakaway had the Lady’s opening the scoring before they capitalized on their own PP to go up by “two”. Late period miscues have plagued the Lady’s throughout the season and today was no exception. With just over two minutes remaining in the first, several “fail to clear attempts” found the Aces within “one” at the end of one. Penalty trouble in the second saw Stratford capitalizing on their second PP opportunity, with another late period goal putting them up by one heading into the break. A “D” breakdown with the net empty provided the Aces with all the insurance they would need to secure the “W”.

As tough as the past week has been (one point in the last four games) you must embrace the losing streak. When the weather and roads get bad, we slow down. When things aren’t going right on the ice, we get back to basics. Use one of our many BO options (not the same one), work hard on making a good first pass, support below the puck, own the small ice, scan and watch from the bench. One shift at a time, one period at a time, one game at a time. You are a good team and there is still lots of hockey left.

Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.
