A tie game
Battling the bug. We were short a couple players today and a couple other players were not feeling to well but played through the illness. Our game against the Brantford 99ers was a battle through and through. Aiden won the hard hat worker today playing one of his best games of the year scoring two goals to keep the game from getting away. Our defense scrambled a little but managed to be there when we needed them. Nathan had his slapshot going and Ethan was a force on and off the puck.
Samson, Ody and Tristan played well enough to get the job done. Jonas and Robert played a strong game creating chances and moving to the open spaces very well. Arthur and Mark were consistent with getting the puck up to their forward linemates. Antonio tied the game late in the third period with a good strong effort. Conner had some chances to put the game away but just couldn't finish it off. Great game Conner. There were lots of chances at both ends of the ice. Logan came out of his net and forced the players to misshandle the puck. Good thinking Logan even though the ref warned us to tell Logan not to come out of his net. (really ref come on) Carson came in for the second half of the game and played well despite not feeling goodl. All in all it was a game we could have won but we just couldn't capitalize on our chances enough. The boys didn't give up and thats whats important. Good effort today boys.
