Peewee, 2013-2014, A (Kitchener Minor Hockey)

Friday morning game 1 vs the Leaside Wildcats, had our Lady Rangers come out shooting 38 shots on net providing a 2-0 win. The extra 100 daily practice shots requested from each player has already provided rewards !  Our afternoon game 2 against the Durham West Lightning had the score sheet filled with #55, #6 and #66 showcasing our new tournament forward line giving us a 2-0 win. 

It was an exciting Friday morning as we made our way to Clarington for our first away tournament. An upbeat start in a small rink at the Orno arena had our girl's win 3-1 playing a solid game against the Aurora Panthers. 

A trip down the big hill to Flamborough had our Peewee A Lady Rangers play our Central West Loop rivals to a 1-1 in a pre season exhibition game.

Our Lady Ranger Peewee A team were one of the 140 tournament teams competing in a 12 team Peewee A division. We had to settle for a 1-1 tie with Belleville in our first game using new line combinations. Game 2 was a 0-1 loss to Brampton in a penalty filled game which never saw our girls play strong as team. Game 3 had our girls ready to play Oakville in a hard fought 0-1 loss to the eventual tournament Champion.  Week 1 saw our team finally get together starting the season with an exhibition game against a strong London AA team.  A 0-4 showed the coaches some of our strengths and weaknesses' in preparation for our first team practice. Our first team 1.5 hour practice had a late start with no girls leaving early. There were a lot of smiles and a few tired yawns as we approached 10pm ! Our Waterloo exhibition game saw the team come out a little nervous in the first period scoring in the last minute to tie the game.
