Jayden Elmour Memorial Tournament Champions
In a battle of two undefeated teams, Atomc Black defeated the London Bandits in the Jayden Elmour Memorial Tournament to win the final 7-6 in overtime.

Owen Chard was the overtime hero for Atomc Black and won game MVP. Brett Herniman was an offensive beast with 3 goals and 2 assists. Will Halter had a pair of goals and Tyler Oude-Voshaar added a goal as well.

Atomc Black was the first team to tie the Bandits in the first game and were eager to hand them their first loss of the season playing a team game and being relentless on pucks all game.

After taking a 2 goal lead the Bandits managed to cut the lead in half, but Atomc Black scored again to regain that 2 goal cushion. The lead didn't last long as the Bandits scored 3 unanswered goals before the period was over and took a 4-3 lead.

Refusing to give up, Atomc Black worked hard and kept positive and not only tied the game up but took a 5-4 lead heading into the 3rd period.

This time it was the Bandits who showed the unwillingness to accept defeat. The Bandits tied the game and fell behind again before scoring close to the end of the 3rd to set the stage for an exciting finish.

Atomc Black held the offensive zone and kept cycling the puck before Chard found the open ice in front and buried the game winner.

The coaches of Atomc Black were extremely proud of the team. Not only for their performance in the game but the entire tournament. On and off the ice. They carried themselves with respect, worked hard and acted like a team. The boys coined a new team phrase, "nobody left behind", and made a point in supporting each other.

The weekend was a fantastic time filled with memories and team bonding (players and parents) we hope the boys hold forever.

Go Black!
