Congratulations to our Lady Ranger Bantam A
girls bringing home the Silver metal from the 2016 Oakville Hornets Harvest
tournament. It was the largest rep tournament in Oakville having 206
participating teams, Bantam A division with 20 teams.
Round robin had our Lady Rangers play to a
3-0-0 record bringing us to a sudden death quarter final against the Windsor
Wildcats Saturday afternoon. A 3-0 win gave us an opportunity to play Sunday in
the division semi final against the hometown Oakville Hornets. Shut out goaltending,
tough blue line defense and speedy back checking forwards provided a 3-0 win to
play in the division final against the Chatham Outlaws. Battled and bruised,
the team settled for silver in a 0-2 loss. Congratulations to the Outlaws and a
big thank you to the Oakville tournament committee and volunteers.
Our Lady Rangers provided exciting hockey, hat
tricks, You Tube goals, and timely goaltender saves for our fans, young and
old. Players of the game “conditioning passes” were issued to Nicole, Rachel,
Macy, Allison, Ella and Emily. Thanks
for the great weekend of hockey girls. Your incredible efforts are
appreciated by the entire coaching staff.
