The end to the season turned out to be an exciting one for the Intermediate A team. We had a very strong regular season and finished first overall in the West division, earning a bye to the second round of Lower Lakes Playoffs. We met Guelph in the next round where they pushed us to a game 3 must win and then win in overtime situation. The girls were back in form and scored a late third period goal to win in regulation 2-1. The series was tied in points and we went into sudden death overtime to decide the ultimate winner. We dominated play and Ashley Armstrong scored the winner about 4 minutes into overtime to secure our place in the final four for Championship weekend.

The Christmas break finds the Kitchener Lady Rangers Intermediate A team with a very strong 23-6-1 record. Our success so far has been due to a high tempo, passing game combined with a strong work ethic and excellent goaltending. This puts us in second place in our division and well positioned going into playoffs.
Keeping with the team Holiday tradition, the girls held a team gift exchange of children's toys that get donated to a local charity. This year, the gifts were dropped off at the Kitchener Fire Department Headquarters.

The Kitchener Lady Rangers Intermediate A team emerged victorious in their first tournament of the season at the 5th annual Clearview "Get Your Pink On" in the Valley Tournament in Alliston. The team competed in the Senior A category which was a mix of Senior and Intermediate A teams. The team played a consistent high speed passing game which was too much for most of the competition. In the finals, the girls came up against a determined Sudbury Lady Wolves team that battled hard and tied the game 2-2 early in the third period. Kitchener played disciplined hockey and took control late in the game to win 5-2 for the championship. Congratulations to all of the girls who represented themselves and the team very well.
