The Kitchener Jr Rangers win the Alliance Select Championship with a 4-1 victory over the Cambridge Hawks as well going undefeated with 5 wins. Our Hockey journey began last October on Thanksgiving weekend following the team selection and we set a team goal of playing Sunday at the Alliance Championships. The boys came to Select practices with an open mind and willingness to learn new things so we challenged our defence to be quarterbacks mastering the D to D puck movement, challenged our forwards to learn chip and chase hockey to dominate in the offensive end, and goalies to challenge shooters on the white ice. The boys hard work and dedication has paid off because today they are the Minor Peewee Select Champions. Congratulations.

Kitchener Jr Rangers lose 2-1 in the finals of the Richmond Hill Select tournament to the Halton Hill Thunder. Going undefeated in the round robin was done by hard work on both the fore-check and back-check which allowed them to control the play. In the finals we fell behind early but battled hard and missed some great scoring chances late in the game. Great tournament.

Kitchener Jr Ranger Minor Peewee Select win Dan Pulham London Tournament with an exciting 3-2 win over the Milton Winterhawks. The boys started off slow on Friday with a tie and then rang off 5 wins to bring home the championship. The forwards chip and chase, D to D puck movement, and great goaltending were the recipe of the team success this weekend. Thanks to our fans the parents who kept us entertained at the rink and hotel.
