4th Annual Fusion Fall Frenzy Tournament
Kitchener Jr. Rangers Vs Belleville Jr. Bulls (Major) 2-2 Tie
Kitchener Jr. Rangers Vs Centre Wellingtion Fusion (Major) 3-1 Win
Kitchener Jr. Rangers Vs Waterloo Wolves (Major) 2-0 Loss
Kitchener Jr. Rangers Vs Aurora Tigers (Major) 3-1 Win

I can not say how proud I am of our Minor Peewee team playing these Major Peewee teams this weekend.

The Belleville game what a way to come out of the gate and get all the nerves and jitters out with a fast pace in your face game.  I don't think Belleville knew what hit them.  Even with the game winning goal being called back due to goalie interference that was never told to us on the bench the guys played great... lots of passing and goals and yes they were all over Belleville and they could not get out of there end.
The Fusion game ... a perfect win.  Passing scoring and in their face play got us the win.  Even with what seemed like a 6 foot tall goalie in net they guys were not scared and played hard and shot and shot and shot.
Waterloo....wow what can i say we had them pinned down and they boys believed they could win and nothing was going to stop them but in the end the Major Peewee team just beat us with one more year of skating and experience.  Nothing anyone did wrong its just the age difference and that one extra year of hockey under Waterloo's belt.  The bench staff fully believes if we were to play them in the finals we had a great chance of beating them.  In the end it was an excellent up and down the ice game again.  I thought we were going to have to flood the ice between the 2nd and 3rd period there was so much skating.

The final game against Aurora.  Once again the boys were hungry and nothing was going to stop them from winning the last game in this tournament. The passing, talking on the bench, fast skating and smart play making really showed that they were ready to play and win.  Fast up and down the ice plays for both teams.  Besides the great playing by the team i believe that the time out with 52 seconds left in the game to calm the players down and to get the guys relaxed helped out alot.  I was on the bench going man we have to stall some how.... and thankfully Rob said dont you get a time out... bingo call time.... Rob talked to Russ and we talked to the players and informed them relax get the puck out and in Aurora's zone and oh ya there will be an open net so don't let that throw you.

A great tournament everyone... the boys now know it takes team work to win and play well.  The communication in the change room, asking questions "well coach what should i have done in that situation \ what do i do in this situation ", passing and skating hard, defense rushing and the winger cover for him, helping out the goalie when needed, the small passes along the board and off the boards, playing positions, and everything else.  Thank you everyone for making it so much fun and for your hard work.  We showed them that a well gelled and focused Minor Peewee team can compete with and be successful against Major Peewee teams.
