The Kitchener Lady Rangers Midget “A’s” had back to back home games this weekend picking up three of a possible four points.

The ladies started the weekend on a snowy Saturday against the Waterloo Ravens. In what was described as perhaps the worst effort of the season, the ladies lacked hustle, pressure and spent a good deal of time “watching” the puck when they were on the ice. While out chanced in the first (including a penalty shot and great save!), it was several failed clearing attempts in the second that afforded the Ravens with the first goal of the game. While not pretty, any shot on goal is a good shot on goal and the ladies tied it at "one" heading into the break. That would be all the scoring in a game that the coaching staff hopes is out of everyone’s system.

Just over twenty-four hours later, the Lady Rangers hosted the Flamborough Falcons at Grand River arena. In a game that bore little resemblance to the day before, good puck pressure, smart choices and options and good “PP” patience, had the ladies picking up three of the weekends possible four points.

It's not rocket science ladies. Making good, consistent, “choices and options”, working hard “every shift” and playing smart “Lady Rangers” hockey are the keys to your success.  While you are absolutely “capable”, everyone needs to commit in order for us to be “successful”.
