Welcome to Tier 3 - U13 (2008) RED!
The coaching staff is
excited to get this year off to a great start and it all begins this Saturday
September 12th at 2:45pm! RED will have three evaluation sessions:
Saturday September 12th @ 2:45pm / Activa PJD
Saturday September 19th @ 2:45pm / Activa PJD
Sunday September 20th @ 4:00pm / Activa PJD
At the conclusion of the Sunday evaluation session, the team roster will be finalized.
An ID number will be assigned to each player which will be emailed to your family directly prior to the second evaluation session on Saturday September 19th. The ID number is confidential and only families will know their players personal number to follow throughout the evaluations. No returning MD RED players will be released after our first session and are guaranteed to return to the second session. Any additional players invited to skate for assessment in subsequent sessions (Evaluation 2/3) will be given a confidential ID number.
IMPORTANT SELF SCREENING
The "OHF Health Screening Questionnaire" document must be reviewed prior to each team session. Families can complete the screening verbally with their child to ensure they have no COVID symptoms. Any players showing symptoms, MUST NOT attend a team event and will be responsible to notify the Coach directly. Evaluation Details:
1. Please arrive at the rink 15 minutes before ice time.
2. Players are to come dressed. There will be an assigned player preparation area to put on skates, helmet, and gloves. Each player is to wear a face-mask into the arena which can be removed once they are seated in their assigned area.
3. After the ice time, players are to remove gloves, helmet and skates. Put face-mask back on and exit the building. A volunteer will be available to help instruct the players accordingly if needed.
4. Please note only ONE parent / guardian is permitted in the arena during evaluations due to COVID-19 restrictions. KMHA requires all spectators to wear a face-mask while inside the facility and stand in the designated spectator area.
5. All sessions will have a maximum of 20 skaters on the ice including Coaches.
6. The first evaluation session (September 12) has been reserved for returning MD RED players from last season that are registered and have paid their "period 1" base registration fee.
7. The second and third evaluation sessions (September 19/20) can include players from other levels for assessment. The coaching staff may request certain players to sit out this evaluation to make room to assess other players while adhering to the 20-skater maximum. Note – players that “sit” will not be released and will be guaranteed a spot on the final team roster as per KMHA guidelines.
8. Players that are moving on with our evaluations will have their ID number posted to the team web page as per KMHA. If an ID number is not posted for your child, we will notify the Tier 3 BLUE team Coaches that the player is available.
The Coaching staff has been working hard to create a season long development plan for our players that will be SAFE, FUN and CHALLENGING. We can’t wait to get started!
