The U12 BB/B Kitchener Jr. Rangers Red and Blue teams came together over the weekend for a spooktacular “Trunk or Treat” event to have some intersquad fun, while also collecting an impressive 323 lbs of food for the Waterloo Region Food Bank. The equivalent to serve 250 meals for individuals in need within the region.
The highly anticipated 3rd annual event took place at Sportsworld Arena where cars from both teams gathered and each trunk was decorated with cobwebs, pumpkins, and spooky decorations. The boys from both teams dressed up in their impressive Halloween costumes and went from car to car saying “Trunk” or Treat to receive sweets from parents.
The coaches are extremely proud of the turnout at the event from both teams and the collaboration shown between the red and blue players. We are also thrilled with the success of the food drive and the players understanding of the importance of giving back to our communities and helping those in most need.
Go Rangers!
