The
Kitchener Lady Rangers U18 “A’s” played their first back to back days of the 2023/2024
regular season travelling up Highway 85 to Waterloo.
For the second game in a row, the Lady’s “start” was a little slow. A beautiful pass to high F3 opened the scoring for the Lady’s mid-way through the first. Missed coverage on a late first period PK had the game tied at one heading into the second. Although the Lady’s had several breakaway opportunities, with just over five minutes into period two, another missed assignment would give the Ravens all the scoring they would need to secure the “W”, handing the Lady Rangers their first regular season loss.
As discussed, attention needs to be paid to the ice. There was nothing in the pre-scout that was unexpected. With all due respect to the Ravens, you lost the game more than they won it. Attention to detail will be key for a division that will remain extremely tight as the season goes on. You will have to earn every point, every night. If you have questions, please ask. The expectations are clear.
