West End Tuesday
With the 23 – 24 Regular Season almost at the end, the Lady Rangers travelled to Guelph’s West End to play the Gryphon’s on a rare Tuesday night game.

If slow starts have become a Lady Rangers staple, tonight was no exception. With several missed passes and numerous (which included 6 in one shift) giveaways, the Lady’s struggled to find some flow in the first. After some direct conversation between periods, the Lady’s responded (and I’m sure it had nothing to do with the “directness”) with an opening goal just 9 seconds into the second. Some good PP patience and puck movement put the Lady’s up by “two” heading into the break. In a misunderstanding of what was said between periods, the Lady’s made MANY trips to the box in the third, including a game ending “two-for-one”. A nice, blocked shot in the dying seconds “six on three” (thanks for not taking a “clapper” at the empty net) gave the Lady’s a “W” on their second to last game of the regular season.

Scanning BEFORE the puck comes to you, good passes to the tape, not giving the puck away, and understanding the four-foot blueline rule, are all things you need to do EVERY shift if you are going to be successful. You have one remaining game to “FIO”. Use it wisely.
