Dearly Remembered
It is with great sadness that KMHA mourns the loss of a beloved volunteer and remembers the life and contributions of Brent Bresseau.

Brent was a familiar face around the rink, in the Hoceky office and on the bench. He made the difference for countless children growing up and playing their shared passion, but even more importantly Brent was the beloved husband of the late Nicole (Lighton), cherished father of Drew Bresseau (Katie), proud "Pops" to his grandson Brodie, loving brother to Brenda and the late Shawn, and son of late Louise and Garnet. He will be deeply missed by his extended family, countless friends, the hockey community, and his devoted card-playing crew.
Brent lived life with compassion, warmth, patience, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved. Whether behind the bench, on the golf course, or cheering on his beloved Kitchener Rangers, he brought energy, humor, and heart to everything he did.
For more than 30 years, Brent devoted himself to coaching hockey, mentoring generations of young athletes with his wisdom and encouragement. He believed in teamwork, perseverance, and finding joy in every pass, goal, and game. His influence on and off the ice will never be forgotten.
Outside the rink, Brent found joy on the golf course and in the stands. He was a loyal fan of the Kitchener Rangers, sharing every win and loss with his loved ones, and always quick with a joke or smile.
Brent's kindness, loyalty, and easygoing spirit touched all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and life lessons that will live on in the hearts of many.
A celebration of Brent's life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener.
