AtoMc Blue, Major Atom House League, 2011-2012 (Kitchener Minor Hockey)

Hello Bomber faithful!  Looking forward to closing out the regular season against the Green side Saturday. We hope everyone can be there for a playoff tune-up. We managed to get some ice at the Zone on Sunday at 2:30. We'll  play some hardcore 3-on-3 for 50 mins then everyone is invited over to Coach Mark's for a barbeque after.  This is a great opportunity to get our playoff legs, have some fun and get loose before the big weekend! The Blue machine was dropping bombs at will this morning in a dominant win over Yellow! Paced by Carter with 4 goals and 2 assists, the Bomb Squad was firing on all cylinders without our Select players. Ben and Keenan notched the other markers, and Jacob, Hunter, and Aidan G. contributed assists. Nolan and Karl closed the door for the shutout, and strong performances from Tyler and Colin (and all the rest of our D-Men) sealed the deal!

Happy New Year Blue Bomber fans! The second half of our schedule is a busy one, especially the next couple of weeks. We only have one practice (Sunday 7am Sprtswld) before Hockey Day at the Aud and our London tournament. I hope we can all make it out, we have a LOT to work on! I fixed the sched for Hockey Day-go with the official itinerary-our game is at 11 am, and we all need to be there by 10. The sched for the Barker tourney should be out this weekend, and I will forward it when I get it.

The Blue Bombers notched their sixth straight win Saturday to gain a share of first place in the hotly contested major atom division. With goals from our three centers, Scott, Aiden C, and Carter, the boys held on for a 3-2 victory over a game Red squad. Ben P collected an assist on Aiden's goal, played a solid game throughout, and made several huge defensive zone plays to preserve the win late. He was awarded the Golden Sweater for his monster effort! Special mention goes to Nolan, who has not conceded a goal in (I'm losing track it's been so long) three games! The big blue machine rolled on to another victory Saturday, its fifth straight. Pacing the team was Hunter, notching a goal and two assists. Scott was his usual dynamic self, with a goal and an assist. The big event was Aidan G., who scored his first with a rocket from the faceoff circle, then added an assist on the last goal by Hunter. For his superb effort, Aidan was awarded the Gold Sweater!
