Tough Loss
Tonights game was filled with exciting chances. Unfortunately, at the end of every chance there was a goalie or a post. Guelph came out and scored first to take a 1-0 lead. Our boys battled hard. Arthur and Mark had a couple of breakaways but the Guelph goalie was unbeatable. Robert had a half dozen one timer opportunities that came up short of going in. Jonas had a headache and probably played his best game of the season (poor guy). Tristan was dazzling with the puck and took home the Hard worker hat for the game. Antonio scored late but it didn't count and his goal scoring streak came to an end. Our goalies were not that busy as 85% of the game was played in the Guelph zone.
Conner rang one off the post and so did Mark. Ody was all over the ice tonight and Ethan took the puck from coast to coast with some great puck handling. Mathew, Nathan and Samson put in a strong effort but the night was not meant to go our way and it didn't. Quinten and Cameron showed why they deserve to be on this team with some great chances. We just didn't get the bounces tonight. So we leave with our heads high knowing that we did our best. Great job tonight boys.
