Major Atom AAA Update
The Major Atom AAA 2003 Jr Rangers are off to a great start and have a lot to look forward to.
The team hit the ice on the Aug 24th weekend for a home and home series against the Huron Perth Lakers. A busy September started with a trip to the Toronto Marlboros Friendship tournament where 25 of the top teams in Ontario and US assemble for great some pre-season competition. The Jr Rangers went 2-1-1 against some stiff competition and just missed a Sunday berth in the quarter finals. The team kicks off the regular season on the western swing this weekend to play Windsor, Sun County and Chatham-Kent followed by their home opener on Saturday 21st vs Lambton 12noon at PJD Arena.
The team continues to plan their trip to Boston from Oct 9th to Oct 14th where the Jr Rangers will participate in the Eastern Hockey Federation Invitational Columbus Day tournament. Excitement is growing for the group of 60 players, parents, siblings and grandparents that will be making the trip to enjoy not only the hockey, but the sightseeing in and around Boston and also the Bruins vs Colorado game on the 10th.
