Founded in 1985 by brothers Denny and Tom Leach, Artistic Finishes got its start as a contract finisher of wood window parts, kitchen cabinet doors, retail fixtures and flat components for various manufacturers. This experience taught them a great deal about cutting-edge wood finishing techniques, allowing them to innovate and perfect the equipment and coatings used in prefinishing hardwood products today. In 1995 the company began to evolve into a hardwood molding manufacturer. Denny and Tom found a need in the flooring industry for hardwood moldings that offered the finishes and hardness to match the new generation of prefinished hardwood floors. Their experience over the previous decade was a perfect match to this new opportunity. Working closely with their client and supplier partners, they pioneered the development of new highly durable finishes utilizing 100% solids with UV-curable stains, sealers and clear coats. They didn't stop here, continuing development of automated, highly customized processes to apply these coatings in a controlled, consistent manner. Today, this spirit of innovation continues with new products and techniques being developed to maintain their competitive advantage and leadership position. From day one, Denny and Tom have maintained a focus on innovative manufacturing techniques, finish clarity, color, grain definition and durability to create a full line of premium prefinished hardwood floor accessories. This drive for superior quality products has allowed them to offer the floor industry's first and most extensive lifetime warranty on all their products sold under the Artistic brand.
