Great Effort
This weekend was about continuing to shape our teams identity. We had a great practice on Saturday where the kids left it all on the ice. We are trying to get them to practice with game like intensity and I think they did. This is what will help them improve and we are talking to them about pushing themselves to work harder. We also worked on puck movement and continued with positioning in diffrent situations. We are still learning.

we then played a game Sunday night in Burlington. We started off a bit scrambly but as the game wore on we started to come to life. We still need to go to the net hard with sticks down, and tirelessly attack the puck. The defence did a great job in clearing the puck and that was nice to see as we have been working on that in practice. The forwards led by Stewart B worked hard and were great on special teams. We had some great penalty killing as well. James T made some timely stops at crucial points in the game that paved the way for us in a 6-1 victory! A couple notes....... Stewart B got the Sherriff name bar as he showed the team what hard work for three periods was all about. Josh D has quietly gone about his business these last few games and played a solid game twice clearing the puck off our goal line. Dan S and Cam A both had 2 assists and played solid as well. Kyle M and Jack S worked one of the nicest and fastest D to D passes off Noah O faceoff win. We have also bee working on this in practice so it was like poetry in motion. Jacob S has also stepped up his play these past 2 games. Keep it up D. The FWDS led by our captain Nate D are starting to develop the chemistry we have been waiting to see. A lot of nice things were done by all our FWDS and some things we all have to work on but lets keep working boys.
