Great Weekend Lady Rangers - 3 Wins
The Novice Lady Rangers had a great weekend winning 3 games.
On Friday they took on a tough Woolwich Wild squad. With goals from Tessa, Megan (assist Jaime) and Madison, the Lady Rangers pulled out a 3 to 1 victory.
On Saturday the Lady Rangers hosted a determined Waterloo Ravens team. The game was scoreless till the third period when Megan notched the winner. Macy and Skyla shared the shutout in the 1 to 0 victory.
To close out the weekend on Sunday the Lady Rangers took on the Wilmot Wolverines. The Wilmot goalie stood tall for two periods. Finally in the third period the Lady Rangers were able to bulge the twine 3 times, with Alyssa (assist Abby), Maggie (assist Megan) and Calista each scoring. Skyla and Macy again shared the shutout in the 3 to 0 win.
The defence corps of Calista, Jaime, Jessica, Jordan and Vanessa played well over the 3 games.
The Lady Rangers have their first tournament of the season this upcoming weekend as they travel to Etobicoke to participate in the Pink the Rink tournament. The Lady Rangers will take on Etobicoke, North Bay and Belmont in pool play.
