West Northumberland Winter Classic Tournament
The Lady Rangers Novice team were in the West Northumberland Winter Classic Tournament January 17 and 18 th.
In game 1 they played Kingston Ice Wolves and despite carrying the play for the majority of the game and some strong goal tending by Macy they suffered a 1 to 0 loss.
Game 2 they took on the Peterborough Ice Kats and won 1 to 0. Stella got the winner. Sklya was steady in net for the shutout.
Game 3 they played an exciting back and forth game against the tournament host, West Northumberland Wild. Macy played extremely well in net. Tessa and Megan scored the goals. Assists went to Calista, Marley and Macy.
In the consolation final the Lady Rangers took on Peterborough and came out with a 2 to 1 win. Skyla got the win in net. Goal scorers were Maggie and Megan. Picking up assists were Jenna, Madi and Jessica.
The girls played competitively in all games.
They had lots of fun, and spent a good amount of time team bonding.
