Major Peewee AAA's Clinch 1st Place
Submitted By Mark Germann on Thursday, December 24, 2015
Walter Gretzky helped the Kitchener Jr Rangers celebrate their 1st place clinching victory last night in Brantford.

With 5 games remaining in the regular season schedule, the Kitchener Jr Rangers Major Peewee AAA's have clinched 1st place overall, home ice advantage throughout the playoffs & a first round bye.

Mr Gretzky surprised the players in the dressing room after game and addressed the group on the values of being a great teammate, playing the game with respect & the importance of education.  No stranger to loving hockey crowds, hockey's #1 dad held court and entertained our group as he took control & organized the impromtu team picture.

The team will travel to Toronto after Christmas and compete in the GTHL Challenge Cup tournament.  In January, the Jr Rangers will be in Buffalo for the North American Cup tournament.  As the regular season winds down, the team will prepare for a long and competive playoff run with the goal squarely set on winning the league championship and representing the Alliance at the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) Championships in Sudbury in April.
