2015 Kitchener Oktoberfest Girls Atom A Champions
Congratulations to the Kitchener Lady Rangers Atom A team for winning the Kitchener Oktoberfest Girls Atom A Championship this past weekend.
The Lady Rangers recorded 2 wins, 1 tie and 1 loss during the 4 game round robin schedule.
In the Sunday morning semi final the Lady Rangers were looking for revenge after a round robin loss to the Scarborough Sharks. The Lady Rangers played a very solid game and recorded a 2 to 1 victory.
In the finals the Lady Rangers were up against the Guelph Gryphons. After 3 periods the teams were tied at 2 to 2. In the sudden victory overtime period the game was back and forth, with the Lady Rangers scoring the winning goal at the 5 minute mark.
It was a great win, with every girl contributing.
