Gold Jersey (Kind of) Week 10
First half of the season is pretty much done. We are guaranteed to be one of the top 6 teams which means we are in the A division in the second half only playing against the other top teams in the league. Now the hard work really starts, not forgetting about fun.
What a great game to finish off the first half of our season. With everything going on I forgot to hand out the gold Jersey this week. I will hand it out after our next practice, which will actually be a game against Red, on December 18th at 5pm, no need to be there an hour early.
I am so proud of our girls. If you look at the players statistics you will now see that everyone of our forwards now have a goal. Ariana scored by deflecting in Sarah's shot from the point.
Sarah and Jillian are holding down the top two scoring spots respectively. I am very surprised at some of the point leaders and can't believe that some others don't have more points than they do. Example of that is Jaden as she is always in the play keeping the puck in the oppositions end and always skates hard and gets to the net. Kiara is the only defence with points, 4 assists. We have been working and will continue to work with the defence to be more offensive but for the most part they have done a great job at being defensive defense.
I believe everyone of the girls can be proud of what we have accomplished this first half of the season and how we have grown as a team as I know the coaching staff is proud of the girls.
