Kitchener Midget AAA Take Novice Teams Under Their Wing
Saturday, January 20th, marked the final installment of the Novice-Midget program.  The Novice Blue team took over the Midget room.

The Novice boys had their skates sharpened by Midget Equipment Manager Al Scheklesky, took shots in the shooting cage, experienced the Midget pre-game food table, took warmup led by the Midget boys, and of course, interacted with the Midget players.
They were especially pleased to find out that Aidan Ruston, assistant captain of the Midget team started as a Novice Blue player.  The day was another great success.

The program was started with the aim of creating a ‘wow’ day for the Novice players.  That did happen for all three Novice Rep teams.

However, without question, there was an equal or greater benefit for Midget players – the incredible love for hockey can be infectious when you are surrounded by eight year olds.
