Team Blue 90,000 Puck Challenge!
On October 3rd Team Blue Accepted the 90,000 puck challenge. Each player will take 500 shots per week for 10 weeks. Goalies will complete 2500 catches and 2500 blockers for their challenge.
Goal: Increase shot speed, quickness, accuracy and hand eye coordination
The Plan: 5000 pucks in 10 weeks, per player
Weekly Goal: 500 shots per week, per player
Daily Goal: 100 shots per day (5 days per week) per player
Week #1 - Wrist Shots
Week #2 - Backhand Shots
Week #3 - Snap Shots
Week #4 - Wrist Shots-Balancing on One Foot
Week #5 - Snap Shots & Backhand Shots
Week #6 - Drag & Shoot
Week #7 - Slap Shots
Week #8 - Stickhandle & Quick Release
Week #9 - Players's Choice
Week #10 - Players' Choice
Bonus - One Timer - Option in week #9 or if player continues past week 10. Drill is performed with a partner or using a tennis ball and wall.
