The Lady Rangers hosted a rare Sunday afternoon game against
the Waterloo Ravens #1182.
The ladies started their fourth game in a row with good choices and options, great pinches and a positional F3. Although the PP and PK were strong, the ladies were not able to capitalize on several scoring opportunities. This would unfortunately be the ladies’ demise today. After giving up an early third period shorthanded goal, post after post after post (which don’t even count for a shot on net) would hand the Lady Rangers their second loss in as many days.
We must capitalize on the opportunities that we are given. Although practice time has been nonexistent since December, the numerous emails, handouts, and video have been available to all for some time now. Proper execution (taking the time to set up, positioning, puck control (two to the puck), puck movement) is essential to make the most of those opportunities. We remain pleased however that the rollercoaster ride from a week or so ago seems to be over!! Enjoy the two days of rest. The five days past that are tough ones.
