Eagles VS Titans
Game 3 of the round robin had all the makings to be an intense battle. Especially after our last game, game 15, versus the Titans. But with semi-finals within their grasp, the boys put that behind them and focused on winning, and sending the Titans home for the weekend!
The boys came out intent on winning their third game. With that, at 7:36 #91 Banton scored our first goal of the game. Goal assisted by #23 Whalen. Then 2 minutes later #66 Nanuti scored a beauty of a goal, assisted by #16 Horn and #14 Gavin.
The second period saw quite a bit of back and forth action, but at 2:34 #91 Banton scored the Eagles third goal to solidify their lead.
Headed into the third period the Eagles had a 3-0 lead. For the remainder of the game there were no more goals scored and the Eagles were focused on keeping the puck out of their end. The Titans attempted to put the pressure on near the end of the period, but thanks to some solid goal tending by #31 Massecar, the Eagles held onto their lead to finish the game.
Now it's off to the semi-finals where the Eagles will have to continue their level of play, if they want to make it to the finals!
Final Score: 3-0 Eagles
Later in the locker room the Player of the Game Pylon was awarded to #31 Massecar for making some outstanding saves and recording yet another shut-out!!
