Round Robin Game #3
Saturday March 25th
Eagles VS Admirals
Game 3 of the round robin, the Eagles were facing the Admirals. It’s been a while since we played the Admirals, who were riding high on a 3 game winning streak… This should be a good game!
The first period was fast paced and saw the Eagles get two goals. The first at 1:55 by #11 Bell, assisted by #91 Banton and #10 Pittaway. Then with 27 seconds left on the clock, #66 Nanuti, took a beautiful pass up the middle, broke in the zone and buried a amazing shot past the goalie. Goal assisted by #4 Price.
Headed into the second period, the Eagles had a 2 goal lead. At 9:01 the Admirals responded with their first goal. Then at 4:48 #91 Banton scored our 3rd goal of the game. Goal assisted by #10 Pittaway. Another close call when #44 Ramcharan rang one off the post.
In the third period the Eagles managed to squeak one more goal out; at 6:50, #91 Banton crossed the blue line and ripped a shot just inside the post.
Final Score: 4-1 Eagles
Later in the locker room #14 Gavin was awarded the player of the game pylon for great defensive play, great passing and generating some good offensive opportunities.
