Eagles VS Titans
Here we are... Semi Finals!! The Eagles facing the Titans. The Eagles were prepared for a good battle.
First period started and both teams seemed like they were playing a bit sluggish. At 8:04, #66 Nanuti opened the scoring for the Eagles, assisted by #4 Price. At the midway point of the first the Titans made an offensive push, the puck was loose behind the Eagles goalie, but was quickly swatted away by #10 Pittaway. With 38 seconds left on the clock #91 Banton fed it back to #10 Pittaway at the point, who fired a beautiful slap shot on net. Then #11 Bell got the rebound and put it in the wide open net.
Heading into the second period the Eagles had a 2 goal lead. The second period was pretty uneventful. #16 Horn was tripped up by a Titans player. But ever the gentlemen he picked the stick out of his skates and handed it back. On a later play while protecting the front of the net #4 Price was crossed-checked to the back, but no penalty called.
Third period was rolling along at the same sluggish pace. At 3:15, #23 Whalen banged in the third goal of the game, assisted by #91 Banton and #11 Bell. With less than 2 minutes left on the clock, #66 Nanuti stick handled his way into the zone and buried the Eagles 4th and final goal of the game, his second of the game. With less than a minute left on the clock #16 Horn and a Titans player got into a little bit of a shoving match and both received roughing penalties. #31 Massecar, the Eagles goalie, recorded yet another shut out, with a total of 15 shots of net!
Final Score: 4-0 Eagles
Later in the Locker Room #44 Ramcharan was awarded the 3rd Star Trophy-ette. #9 Hancock was awarded the 2nd Star Trophy-ette. And #10 Pittaway was awarded the 1st Star Trophy-ette.
