Round Robin Game #1

Eagles VS Titans
It’s the first game of the 2022/2023 House League Year End Tournament. The Eagles were feeling excited to get started.
First period started out a little bit slow; both teams were playing very well defensively, with a lot of back and forth action. Shortly in, #9 Hancock came in on the wing and shot a beautiful wrist shot but rang it off the post. Finally at 2:19, #14 Gavin opened the scoring on a breakaway, assisted by #16 Horn. Right off the face-off #44 Ramcharan rushed one in, but just couldn’t beat the goaltender. With a minute on the clock, the Titans tied it up, going into the second.
In the second period both teams were playing solid and no-one could seem to get a break. Then at 4:17, #77 Godfrey scored an amazing goal after fighting and digging in the corners and bringing the puck out all on his own. The crowd erupted!!! With only 49 seconds left, #91 Banton cut across the blueline and picked the top corner with a beautiful wrist shot. Goal assisted by #77 Godfrey.
Headed into the third period the Eagles were up by 2. Only 12 seconds into the period and #11 Bell got a rebound and put the wrist shot passed the goalie. Goal assisted by #66 Nanuti and #77 Godfrey. Then still on the same shift, #66 Nanuti buried the Eagles fifth and final goal.
Final Score: 5-1 Eagles
Later in the Locker Room #77 Godfrey and #66 Nanuti were both awarded the Player of the Game Pylon. #66 Nanuti, for generating many offensive zone opportunities. And, #77 Godfrey, for his determined play and 3 points.
