The Kitchener Lady Rangers faced the Owen
Sound Ice Hawks on a rare Sunday afternoon game.
The Lady Rangers welcomed the Ice
Hawks for their “fifteenth” game of the regular season. Unlike the first two
games of 2023, the Lady’s came out S-L-O-W in the first, with very little game
flow or opportunity. This same play continued until late in the second when “F2”
finally drove the net to cash in on a rebound shot from a wide driving “F1”.
Better play finally emerged in the third with several good opportunities. A
wide driving “D turned F1 pass to F2” sealed the “W” for the Lady’s.
No matter the day, no
matter the opponent, every point counts in what is turning into a tight playoff
race. For reasons unknown to the coaching staff,
your play today bore little resemblance to the first two games of 2023. As
discussed, there are expectations for the “execution of play” from all every
time you step on the ice. You need to believe in yourselves - stop “thinking” and start “doing”!
