Tomorrow is a New Day
Team Blue hosted the St. Catharines Hurricanes for our first game in the East/Central Tier 2 Playdowns today, suffering our first loss in a very long time.  The coaching staff hopes that it serves as a wake-up call for the players, who need to come ready to play and adapt to the game as required.

We had hoped that Team Blue's passing game would work well on the Olympic-sized ice.  St. Catharines was however hungry for the puck, and Team Blue was unable to capitalize on its Power Play.  The teams remained dead-locked until the Hurricanes scored early in the 3rd.  While we out-shot St. Catharines, many were into the goaler's hot glove.  We must adapt and find other places to shoot - lower, the other side, etc.

With less than a minute left in the game, we pulled the Monster, and loaded up the O-zone, crashed the net, and had Moose earn the equalizer.

The thrill was short lived as the Hurricanes walked in immediately in OT scoring the winning goal.

Tomorrow is a new day Team Blue.  Let's come ready to play!

As promised, a special shout-out to Mac who executed a perfect Pro-Style dump-and-change with his line.
