And So It Begins
The Kitchener Lady Rangers Atom A team will be enjoying a rare weekend off ice before embarking on a very busy Exhibition Schedule that opens next Friday against the cross town rival Waterloo Ravens.

This year’s Atom ‘A’ Team promises to be an exciting one, with 13 players on the roster having been selected to Lady Ranger Teams a combined 38 times, a very significant number impacted further with the return of half of last year’s squad. With most of the competition either starting tryouts or in the middle of them, our Belles in Blue have already started the process of bonding both on and off the ice.

Beginning on September 6th, the Rangers will host Waterloo before having a Home and Home series with the Falcons from Flamborough on the Saturday and Sunday, and that will just get them started. Our Ladies are also travelling to Oshawa for a tournament all before the season schedule is even set. What a terrific way to start the year.

Although Coach Dave could not be reached for comment at the Mark Family compound there is little doubt that he and his staff are hard at work with planning and strategy meetings. With a tight margin for error in a tremendously talented LLFHL Atom ‘A’ grouping for the 2013/2014 season, both the Players and Staff will work continuously on staying sharp and game ready.

Kitchener fans have already started pulling out arena blankets and blowing the cobwebs out of cowbells in anticipation for a terrific year with the Blue, White, and Red. Who can blame them this time of year with all that Hockey to be played, and a wonderful group of young women just itching to get back on the ice.

Good Luck to all our Lady Rangers on a terrific season of Girls, Giggles and Goals.
